Avalon Tarot
The Avalon Tarot by Joseph Viglioglia combines the tarot with tales from the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, including "the Grail, the adventures of Lancelot and the prophecies of Merlin." Viglioglia blends the medieval with the modern in his richly-detailed images. Each card shows its number and name in six languages - English and Italian in the top right and French, Spanish, German and Dutch at the bottom. The suit token for each minor arcana card is shown in the upper left corner so the required number of tokens do not have to be incorporated into the picture. The instruction booklet briefly describes each scene from the Arthurian legend and its divinatory meaning. The Avalon Tarot is produced by Lo Scarabeo in Italy, but is distributed in the US by Llewellyn. The King Arthur epic is the theme of several other tarot decks as well.
