Celtic Tarot
In the Celtic Tarot, Julian de Burgh and artist Mary Guinan blend the traditional sructure of the tarot with the stories, myths and heroic figures of Irish Celt history and mythology. Each card represents a scene or personage from one of these tales. For example, the 6 of Wands shows "Nera's success in saving the court of Queen Medb and King Ailill." The Celtic Tarot only comes as a deck/book set with "The Celtic Tarot" also by de Burgh. The book gives upright and reversed meanings, astrological influences, a relationship meaning and the story of the card - a description of its inspiration in Celtic lore.
