Diamond Tarot
The Diamond Tarot is a striking variation on the familiar Rider-Waite tarot deck. Artist Klaus Holitzka recolored the original images and placed them in small rectangles in the center of the cards. He then surrounded each image with a unique "psychedelic" border that conveys the feeling tone of that card's meaning. This arrangement creates a three-dimensional effect, as if each card is a window into another world. The Diamond Tarot has the same structure and card titles as the regular Waite deck except that the card numbers are given in roman numerals. The 72-page instruction booklet by Marie-Louise Bergoint offers card meanings and a short biography of Pamela Colman Smith, the artist for the original Rider-Waite. She also describes the Diamond Method for readings based on writing precise questions. Holitzka is also the artist for the I Ching Holitzka.
