Nigel Jackson Tarot
Nigel Jackson is a well-known artist of the esoteric. His style is delicate and precise with soft, muted colors. The scenes on the Nigel Jackson Tarot are placed in the medieval-Renaissance time period. Jackson combines traditional tarot symbols with those derived from his study of Pythagorean numerology. Each card shows the image and name along the bottom edge. The aces show a scroll with the element for that suit given in Latin. In the Nigel Jackson Tarot, swords represent fire, and wands, air - a reversal of the more usual association. The instruction booklet offers a history of the tarot and Jackson's neo-Pythagorean theory of the cards. He also provides interpretations and an explanation of the symbols on the major arcana cards. Jackson is the artist for the Witches Runes deck as well.
