The Tarot Nova is a small deck with simple, brightly-colored scenes on a black background. Creator Dennis Fairfield and artist Julie Paschkis capture the essential meaning of each card in whimsical, but insightful images. The separation of the 3 of Swords is shown as a plant with its leaves cut off. The suits and majors are color-coded in the corners for easy identification. At the bottom of each card is its name and number. Tarot Nova comes in two sizes. The larger deck is part of a set called Fortune Telling. This set comes with a tarot instruction booklet and an extra hardcover book about Palm Reading. The tiny Tarot Nova deck comes attached by a string to a hardcover book describing the deck. This book matches the palm reading book in style and contains the same information as the tarot booklet in the set.
