OH Cards
"The OH Cards are an unbound book of endless pages that leads us into new adventures every time we open it..." This is the introduction to the instructions for this unusual deck by Ely Raman. The OH Cards are a set of 88 larger word cards and 88 smaller picture cards. The cards are designed so the picture cards fit into a box in the center of the word cards. The effect is to frame the picture with a variety of possible keyword meanings. For example, a two-person race takes on a different dimension when surrounded by "Dream" vs. "Compulsion." The OH Cards can be used in many ways: to tell stories, stimulate the imagination, encourage communication and foster self-awareness. The instructions describe different games that can be played. For Intro-Spect-Oh, each player draws one picture and one word card at random, face down. When it's your turn, you look at your cards and then share spontaneously what the combintion means to you in a specific, non-literal and imaginative way. Players are encouraged to follow the "rules" of OH card sharing: to honor privacy and avoid interrupting, re-interpreting or arguing. There is a separate companion book for this deck called The Power of OH: A Path to Growth, Insight, and Appreciation of Self and Others.
