The images on the Robin Wood Tarot are based on the Rider-Waite deck. Artist and deck designer Robin Wood worked on these cards for nearly a decade. Her goal was to create a deck that presented traditional tarot symbolism in a more current and natural way. The drawings are vivid, colorful and expressive. The people in the deck wear either no clothes, robes or other medieval-style dress. The Robin Wood deck is known for its attention to the minor arcana cards. Each one is given its own unique energy and flavor. The instruction booklet by Wood and Michael Short gives upright and reversed meanings for all the cards and three different spreads. This deck is also available in Spanish as El Tarot de Robin Wood.
