Soul Cards I & II
Artist Deborah Koff-Chapin created these 60 drawings using her Touch Drawing method - "a simple but profound process in which fingers take the place of pen or brush." She feels that this technique allows impulses from the subconscious to come forth naturally in a moment or pure attunement. There are no names or meanings offered for any of the Soul Cards. They are open mirrors that evoke powerful emotional and spiritual insights anew with each use. Koff-Chapin selected these 60 cards from thousands she drew over a decade. She wanted her deck to cover a range of human feelings and experiences. In the instruction booklet (36 pages), she describes many ways to work with the cards singly or with others. The images on this page are from Soul Cards I. Koff-Chapin also created a second set of 60 different cards in a similar style called Soul Cards II.
