Secret Tarot
In the Secret Tarot, artist Marco Nizzoli imagines a Land of Secrets, ... a "magical world, inhabited by angels and devils...enchanted beasts and extraordinary characters whose deeds become important exemplary events." The cards in this deck picture the adventures that a young idle (fool) encounters as he wanders through this Land. Nizzoli describes these happenings in the instructions as a walk through the major arcana. Also, each of the four suits represents a story line through four different kingdoms: the Kingdoms of Pleasure (chalices or cups), Richness (pentacles), Sorrow (swords) and Human Work (wands). Each card's number is shown at the top with the name in four languages. The name is also given at the bottom in Italian. This deck is produced by Lo Scarabeo in Italy, but is distributed in the US by Llewellyn.
