Zerner-Farber Tarot Deck
The Zerner-Farber Tarot features the fabric collage tapestries of artist Amy Zerner. Her collages are made from antique laces, trims, brocade, gauze, faux gems, embroidery and other odds and ends. Zerner calls her designs "landscapes of the soul." Her husband Monte Farber is the author of the books and materials that interpret and describe Zerner's images. The Zerner-Farber deck is based on the Enchanted Tarot deck published in 1990. Besides size, the two decks are basically the same except the Zerner-Farber images are cropped and there are no borders. Card titles are in a banner at the bottom. You can compare the two Magician cards: one on this page and one on the Enchanted Tarot page. The Zerner-Farber deck is also available in a boxed set called the Instant Tarot Reader which includes a guidebook by Farber (344 pages). This guidebook gives meanings for all 78 tarot cards in each of the Celtic Cross positions. Zerner and Farber also created the Oracle of the Goddess.
