Zolar's Astrological Tarot

[Empress] [Moon Astrology Card] The Zolar Tarot was first published in 1964 and then reissued in 1983 by U. S. Games as Zolar's Astrological Tarot. This version is based on the Rider-Waite Tarot, but with only two main colors - a magenta-like red and pale green. As with the Starter Tarot, suggested upright and reversed meanings are given at the top and bottom. The minor arcana cards have the standard corner designations of playing cards, so Zolar's Tarot can be used as a regular card-playing deck. The most unique feature of this deck is that there are only 56 cards. The minor arcana is printed on one side, and the 22 major arcana cards on the other side with an additional 32 astrological cards. These include the twelve zodiac signs, and two cards each for the Sun, Moon and eight planets. Because there are no backs, readings with the Zolar's Astrological Tarot are not done with the whole deck but in groups by card categories. Some possibilities are given in the instruction booklet.
